Dr. Thomas Mathew is a heart specialist practising in the state of Kerala. He lives in Alappuzha (Alleppey) and works as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Sahrudaya Hospital located in the Thathampally area of the city. Dr. Mathew also visits the Christian Misision (CM) Hospital in Pandalam, where he is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. Prior to his current posts, Dr. Mathew was attached to the Meditrina Cardiac Centre at St. Thomas Hospital, Changanacherry.

Dr. Thomas Mathew studied in Alappuzha and Trivandrum for his MBBS and MD degrees respectively. He also cleared the DNB (General Medicine) exam from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He then moved to Mumbai, studying and training for three years from 2007 at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, culminating in his receiving the DM (Cardiology) superspeciality degree in 2010.

Dr. Mathew has extensive experience in the area of interventional cardiology, having performed over 4,000 angiograms, 600 angioplasties (including about 350 primary angioplasties and 250 elective angioplasties), and 30 permanent pacemaker implantations. Dr. Mathew's special area of interest lies in device closure of congenital heart defects.
